I very concerned that over the past week the "spin" on the so-called "HC Reform" bill by the DNC has been very dishonsets and amounts to a huge misinformation campagign to distract the American people from the dangers of this scam. The bill passed by the Senate is not "watered down" in any meaningful way. It’s not a significant victory for any Americans that the "government option" was supposedly dropped as the rest of the bill is still a huge takeover of HC by the Federal Government!
Since the Democrat party has decided to put raw political power above the interests of the American people and constitutional government, we face a crisis like none seen before in our lifetime!
Over the past week, the DNC and the leftist media have been out in full force trying to “spin” the government health care takeover into something much less radical and dangerous then it really is!
I don’t think you or republicans are digging far enough into what is going on here!
I have heard several DNC surrogates on talk shows, etc putting out the following talking points as part of a concerted effort to contain the backlash from the American people:
(1) The plan is not a government takeover of HC since it doesn’t contain a "public option" entitlement - this is totally false! The government option was only a SMALL PART of the total take over plan!
The remaining portions of the bill amount to a de facto takeover of health care where the government run the entire system thru command and control of you, providers, and insurance firms (takeover by proxy).
Since the government forces you to purchase only government approved insurance plans or makes you participate in a government program, regulates every particular of how insurance companies must do business, will send out tens of millions of new subsidy checks, and will start 100 new agencies with millions of SEIU union employees to ration care this is a full takeover in ALL BUT FORMAL NAME!
(2) This is a "watered down" plan that simply amounts to "fixing" a few insurance regulations and is mainly symbolic - a variation of the same theme from item 1.
(3) This is a "giveaway" or "bailout" to insurance firms - totally false too; initially insurance firms may do ok since millions of new customers will be forced to sign up. However, the young and the healthy will quickly find ways to "game" the system and pay the fine then sign up for insurance when they are sick - then drop it when they are health. This will become worse and worse as premiums will soar upwards due to the insurance pool being left only with the sick and old. It’s called the "death spiral" and it will bankrupt or force private insurance firms from the market as is happening under similar plans in MA and ME (in ME they went from 21 firms to 2 in a matter of a few years).
(4) The far left is "angry" and "opposes" the Senate bill. Also false, just see how all the ultra liberals in the Senate voted for it without hesitation. They are making alot of noise of course, but this is more a set up from more "reform" as they transition to single payer. The far left is well aware of the "death spiral" effect that will bankrupt insurance firms over time. This crying and labeling of this plan as "insurance bailout/giveaways" and "watered down" is to pave the way in the public's mind for the next round of radical reform in about 10 or so years when this takeover scheme fails and costs soar and the uninsured population goes up! The left will blame freedom and the free market for the failure of their massive government intervention. The fact of the matter is that nothing approaching the free market will be allowed to exist in Health Care and this is nothing more than a destruction plan that will allow the left to push for single payer in the near future!
It’s very important that these falsehoods be refuted head on! This is part of a systemic effort by the DNC/radical leftist to get the public to "calm down" and to confuse them over the near total takeover of our Health Care system by the federal government!
It is also laying the way ALREADY for another push in a few short years for full single payer when their failure-by-design "reform" scheme finishes destroying our current Health Care system.
It’s important we keep the pressure up on the Democrats and continue to oppose this bill. The our economy, our society, and lives of millions are at stake!
Republicans and conservatives must continue to fight to scrap this monstrous takeover scam COMPLETELY!
Please continue to get the word out about this health care takeover so that Freedom and Liberty can be preserved!
I implore you and your friends to keep up the fight against this monster - do not give in!
Continue to fax, write, email and call Congress and demand they end this takeover NOW!
